Pen & Watercolour Workshop Day with Kate Dawes
Five Hour Course – Friday 9th May – 10am – 3pm
Spend the day creating beautiful botanicals in pen and watercolour with Kate Dawes. A relaxed pen & watercolour workshop. Suitable for all abilities.
Small workshops – max 12 people.
Kate will show you different techniques of pen drawing along with how to overlay with ‘dry’ watercolour to create beautiful botanical art. All materials are provided.
The day will be split into two phases – firstly pen drawing and then ‘dry’ watercolour. The day will start with Kate showing you different pen drawing styles. She will help guide you to find a pen technique that suits you.
Once you have done some pen drawing, Kate will help you find the best watercolour technique to complement your pen work.
She will offer individual support and guidance throughout the day, to help everyone develop their personal style, understand composition, colour mixing, and achieve a more confident approach to art.
Kate will bring flowers and foliage to work from and to inspire you and by the end of the day, you will have created one or two A4 botanical artworks to take home with you.
Suitable for all abilities from absolute beginners to the more experienced artist, who would like to try a new technique and approach to art. Maximum of 12 people on the workshop. All materials supplied.
All materials, tuition, and refreshments are included.
