The Alandale Trio

The three players – violinist Andrew Harvey, violist Alex Mitchell and cellist Alexander Holladay – all currently or have formerly played in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. They all have a wealth of experience in orchestras and chamber ensembles. Alex was the viola player of the Zelkova Quartet, and so he played with them at the Arts Centre in 2015.
The Alandale has played in Bollington on three previous occasions and the rapport between the players was immediately obvious. They have the sensitivity and the give and take needed to extract every nuance from the music and to allow each instrument to shine when the composer puts it in the limelight.
